Kimble County has hundreds of natural springs. These springs feed the North Llano and South Llano Rivers which come together to form the Llano River. Here the water runs cool and clear making Kimble County and Junction Texas, the "Land of the Living Waters".

Water Issue Update:

As of 12: 00 pm today, Tuesday August 30th,
the Chamber has received the following information on the status of the water situation:

City Update 12:00 pm: The City will be flushing the water through fire hydrants between 1:30 and 3:30 pm today to release air out of the lines. The air causes lessened water flow and damage to the lines. Again, please do not drink the water, no clothes washing, or other excessive usage. Thank you for your continued patience.

The City has more drinking water being delivered today. Drinking water is available this morning from 10am-12pm for all Citizens behind City Hall in the recycling area.

As of 4:43 pm today, August 29, 2016 the Chamber has received the following information on the status of the water situation:

City Update 4:43 pm - PLEASE - PLEASE citizens do not use water even if you have some available to prevent extending the time all citizens and businesses have access to water. The more you use before this issue is completely resolved and all tanks filled - issue will continue.
If everyone follows the precautions and does not use water, the emergency could be resolved this week.

The City has requested and will be receiving a 1 semi truck full of water as well as a City trailer full. Thank you to Salvation Army as well as Walmart for your assistance with this emergency.

UPDATE RECEIVED FROM THE CITY OF JUNCTION:
Sunday, August 28, 2016 - 10:00pm

Due to the recent City Water Plant Outage, per the Mayor of Junction, all citizens are asked to be aware of mandated water conservation in areas that still have some water. Stage 4 Water Restrictions apply for the next 24 hours, even if water is available. No laundry, please turn off irrigation systems, MINIMAL WATER USAGE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

The City Water Plant Outage: Specialists are adamantly troubleshooting the water plant outage We ask that residents assume and prepare for no water to be available overnight and possibly tomorrow. ALSO, Per Renee Schulze, Superintendent JISD - There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow (Monday).
